Millennial Star: Profession Edition 🌟

1. Hey Millennial Star 🌟... Briefly tell us who you are and where you are from.

My name is Mariana Manuela Mbemba or Ria in short.
 I was born in Luanda, Angola but grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe until my high school years. 
I am currently in my last year of college studying Biology at Penn State University in the USA. Also being the first generation in my family to go to college as well as being the oldest of six children. I have a passion for natural medicine as well as researching and finding ways to accelerate development in the African continent.

2. What is your profession?

During my extra time, I've managed to acquire skills in Digital Marketing,Chat-bot and Sales Funnel Building.

3. Why did you choose your profession?

To be honest I was researching on ways to make a bit of extra money working online so I could be able to independently pay my expenses studying abroad isn't cheap 😄.
However, as time moved on I invested in a mentor that helped me dig deep into my online work as more than just for paying bills. I got to realize that the skills I've acquired and still building can be used as a tool to help African entrepreneurs to share their business/brand or message online. 

There are so many bright minds in the continent but some countries don't have the resources to support these individuals whereas others may not have extravagant capital nor have someone who can help revive their self-belief in their work ethic. 

Despite, hoping to be a Naturopathic Doctor as a long-term career, Digital marketing has taught me so much about myself and also gaining the leadership skills to lead a team of about 40 entrepreneurs to reach their success online especially with access to globally-demanded skill sets, opportunities, and training. 

I want to leverage my Digital Marketing profession to fill in the gap between the economic divide within African regions and also between Africa and the world. Seeing my fellow Africans succeeding in major industries is the most fulfilling thing for me 😊.
