Loving a Broken Person

It's hard to love someone that doesn't love themselves. They will never appreciate your efforts to make them happy.
They will keep demeaning your efforts and make you work to prove your value in their lives.
They have a bottomless void in them that no amount of outside love, validation, appreciation can fill.
They keep raising the bar for your level of love. In the end, they make you feel like you're not good enough. The solution...........

STAY

 AWAY

FROM

THOSE

PEOPLE!

They will deplete your emotional and mental resources. In addition, they will waste your time, break you beyond repair and never want to see you happy. Then you end up passing on that brokenness to the next person in your life and they do the same to others. Brokenness and unloving attitudes are like plagues or bush fires. They spread so fast.
You can never fix such a person. Unfortunately, it's our human nature to desire to change, correct or control another human but in this case, that's a problem only they can fix. There are only 2 influences that can heal brokenness... God and the individual. (Click link below to tweet this)
Love yourself enough to let go of such emotionally and mentally abusive relationships. You deserve better and you can get better.
Love is meant to be enjoyed. It's beautiful because it's based on reciprocity, respect, understanding, peace, consistent open communication and progress. Anything less isn't love. Don't let anybody convince you otherwise.
